B/W wedding images are show more character of the people, and atmospheric to the location in my opinion. Reportage photography is in the most better suited to black and white images as you consontrate on the peoples faces, and what they are doing. With colour wedding photography images you can get drawn away by the colour when you look at the image. Even with formal wedding images in Black & White can be flattering, and romantic.

B&W photography was the first, and only option for photographers when photography began. When colour photography became cheap enough, and readly available for the masses in the early 70's, Black and White photography took a back seat. In the nineties reportage wedding photography took off helping people to appreciate black and white wedding photography again.
